The Gothenburg City Council decided on 3 December to support the alliance parties' proposal regarding Göteborg Energi's biogas business.

– In the media, this decision has been presented as if it involves an immediate closure of the GoBiGas plant, which is unfortunate, says Göteborg Energi’s CEO Lotta Brändström in a statement. In reality, this means that we should produce a report on the consequences of a termination of the biogas activities. Then it is up to the politicians to decide, she continues.
