The Swedish Energy Agency is investing SEK 180 million in two new research programs to develop more efficient and cheaper processes for the production of biofuels. The programs are:

– "Biofuels Program – Biochemical methods", covering both ethanol and other biofuels.- "Biofuels Program – Thermochemical processes", mainly covering gasification.

One call for each program opens today and both calls close on the 23 of September. All information about the programs and calls can be found at the Swedish Energy Agency's website (only in Swedish):
